The committee and other members have been active over the past year putting in many voluntary hours promoting Limousin and its benefits to South Australian beef producers. A summary of their activities is below.

Activities involved with preparation of the SA Limousin stand at the South East Field Days (Lucindale) 19th/20th March 2010 included:
Prepared advertisements for publication in the Stock Journal AgTraderClassifieds section in April and May 2009, and July 2009 and February 2010.
Designed, wrote and had published a number of media releases and advertisements in the period leading up to the 2010 SA Beef Field Days.

Designed and constructed two breed dividers (partitions), bedding containment boards, curtain supports and enough curtaining for all Limousin exhibits at the Royal Adelaide Show. These will be available for all ALBS members wishing to show.
Hosted a field day at the Gommers' Mandayen Stud, Murray Bridge, with presentations and a demonstration given by the ALBS General Manager, Alex McDonald, on docility and the F94L gene.

Organised and hosted a well attended Limousin promotion and commercial cross-breeding field day at the Burden's Graffoe Stud, Tintinara, with talks on commercial beef production using Limousins, the discovery and science behind the F94L gene, production benefits of Limousin, and requirements and benefits of targeting the European market.
